"Hello," she said in a voice so husky it could pull a sled.

Can't believe I missed the opportunity to make a time travel joke here. 🤦‍♂️

I know a bunch of like to use scheduled posts to pre-plan and spread out their posts. I haven't found a way to do that in the web interface, but check your phone app - I use Tusky on Android and it's got a "schedule this toot" feature!

(And I'm using it RIGHT NOW.)

Okay, we're all easing into a new social medium here, so let's start with a softball.

I consider myself:

BookWyrm is a Fediverse alternative to Amazon's GoodReads.

It lets you keep track of what you're reading, see what your friends are reading, discover new books and write reviews.

Also, people on Mastodon can follow your BookWyrm account to see your latest reading posts.

Follow the project at @bookwyrm and find out more about it at:

➡️ joinbookwyrm.com

Join a BookWyrm server at:

(Please don't join the bookwyrm.social server though, it is overloaded! 🙏 )

Where are all the erotica writers?
Let’s find each other!

(Please boost for more response & comment with other great places for erotic writers)
#QuestionOfTheDay #WritersLift #Erotica

Feeling a little guilty about this, since I don't treat my writing as a primary source of income, but I'm looking forward to an Fediverse community that isn't just focused on promotions.

I want folks (including myself) to be able to promote and sell their work, for sure! But I also want us to be able to talk about the process, and support each other, and swap dumb jokes (looking at you, @nouhbdee) and build a COMMUNITY here.

What are you looking for from the Fediverse?

To all of you joining us from the bird site...

Please take your time. Breathe for a moment. This is not the place you just left. Acclimatize yourself. Ask questions. Heck, ask me questions. Please, take a moment to watch, read, and process the new environment.

You've made it this far. We are here to help.

Ok #mastodon, let’s show our true colors.

Reblog this if you’re a champion of the Oxford comma.

We’re officially friends.

PS If you have friends who are looking for a home on Mastodon, @monster_mistress has done a fantastic job of creating a warm, supportive, well-run & well-moderated community of erotica writers, reviewers, fan artists & fans at smutlandia.com.

If you know someone who would enjoy it here, please send them our way. 💋

The double entendre weather forecast says we all may see a good couple of inches later on.

Time for an I suppose... Hi, I'm Chuck! I write that ranges from to outright filth and several points in between, which averages out somewhere near "smutty".

If you'd like to get to know my writing, may I suggest my debut novella, "Careful What You Wish For"? It's available in several places across the web — check my profile for links. I'm a hobbyist, so *selling* isn't my focus, but I appreciate the support and love the community.

Hey #WritingCommunity, thank you for your patience. As promised, here is a working masterlist of #LitMags, #SmallPress & other #Publishing venues who have pages on Mastodon and will be posting submission calls. This spreadsheet will be updated periodically, so make sure you bookmark it for future reference. :)

All handles have been added with consent from the representatives. If you are an EIC/rep of any such venue, please get in touch & I'll add you to the list.

One thing I really like about Mastodon and the proliferation of community-based servers is the fact that the "Local Timeline" is actually _useful_. I'm on a server for romance and erotica authors for a reason; if I want to see toots from those folks, they're right (t)here!
